YES!!!
Finally - its my 3rd year of PhD research and at last, I have a finding. A significant result, that no-one has ever found before. YES YES YES!
Sorry, that's all.
Thank you and goodnight.
Honest to God thoughts from an unconvinced Quaker psychologist
"Had she thought there was no meaning in life, no purpose, when God had gone?...'Well there is now,' she said aloud, and again, louder: 'There is now...We have to be all those difficult things, like cheerful and kind and curious and patient, and we've got to study and think and work hard, all of us...and then we'll build...the Republic of Heaven." Thanks - I've been running some more analyses today and it seems the result holds up if I look at it in different ways.
And by the joy of magic statistics, I can now say all sorts of dramatic, newsworthy statements.
My supervisor reckons I can get a paper out of it.
As to what I found - basically that UK kids feel more stigmatised than US kids as reported by their parents. I'll see if it stands up as reported by the kids later!
I won't go into any more details here, I'm paranoid now that someone else might publish this before me!

Welcome to the world of enjoying novelty...
